Energy Strategy Conference
We're excited to announce our next Energy Strategy Conference is taking place on Monday 16 November. This event is exclusively for strategic decision-makers for energy across our network, and is free for local offices to attend.
Join us on Monday 16 November, 10am-3.45pm
We’ll spend the day working with you to outline our Energy Advice Strategy for 2027-2030. We’ll be joined by a range of outside voices from across the energy sector, positioning our strategy in the wider environmental, political and delivery context.
In the afternoon you'll have a choice of sessions to attend, all of which connect to our future strategy. Your input was invaluable when we created the strategy, and we’re looking forward to hearing your views on how we take it to the next level.
What the day will look like for you
We’ll have refreshments for you, including lunch, throughout the day.
Registration: Opens at 9.30am with sessions beginning promptly at 10.30am. Our day will wrap up by 3.45pm, allowing you to attend the opening sessions for Annual Conference if you wish.
Morning: Opening address, keynote speech, the latest on our energy advice strategy, and a panel session with external voices from the energy sector.
Afternoon: A choice of workshops, including a deeper dive into our strategy, regional opportunities for energy, and innovation in local energy delivery.
We’ll be launching our full agenda for you soon.
Who is the day for?
The Energy Strategy Conference is specifically targeted at strategic decision-makers for energy within our local Citizens Advice network. It is not designed for our colleagues delivering energy advice directly to the public. We only have 150 places for our energy event, so make sure you book your space as soon as possible, and please only reserve tickets for people who have this strategic role.
Given that spaces are limited, we ask that you reserve no more than two Energy Strategy Conference tickets per office, to enable as many local offices as possible to attend. If you are subsequently unable to attend please let us know at activationteam@citizensadvice.org.uk so that we can offer your space(s) to the waiting list.
When and where is it taking place?
The Energy Strategy Conference will run from 9.30am to 3.45pm on Monday 16 November, at DoubleTree by Hilton Milton Keynes.
Registration for the Energy Conference opens from 9.30am on 16 November and there will be pastries and teas/coffees on arrival, with lunch and other refreshments provided throughout the day. Sessions begin promptly at 10.30am and will finish by 3.45pm. Then from 4pm on the same Monday you are then welcome to attend the opening sessions for this year's Annual Conference (more information below).
How does it connect with Annual Conference?
This year we're linking our Energy Conference with the service-wide Annual Conference, to make things as easy as possible for those of you who’d like to attend both.
The Energy Strategy Conference takes place first, with sessions from 10.30am to 3.45pm on Monday 16 November. After we wrap up, you’re welcome to also stay and attend the Annual Conference opening keynote, awards ceremony and drinks that evening, free of charge. If you wish to attend any Annual Conference sessions on the following day, Tuesday 17 November, you will need to also purchase a full Conference ticket.
How much does it cost?
Tickets to attend our Energy Strategy Conference are free! Numbers are limited to 150 people, so book your place as soon as possible to avoid missing out (maximum two tickets per local office).
Annual Conference tickets, if you want to stay for Tuesday 17 November, are £75 per person. Both (or either) can be reserved through this registration form.
We want to support as many local offices as possible to attend our day, and have consciously combined our event with the Annual Conference to help you create savings when attending both. Please note that we are not able to make reimbursements for travel or accommodation, however if your office’s financial situation is stopping you from being at the Energy Conference, and you have a local strategic decision-maker for energy who would benefit from attending, please get in touch with us at activationteam@citizensadvice.org.uk.
