🚀 Run-up Events

Get involved with any or all of our ways to be part of annual conference ahead of November - get sharing, talking, and learning together

What’s happening?

Sign up to our challenge events

We’re running several online challenge events (similar to hackathons) across 22-24 September, with each tackling one or more shared challenges connected to our three missions and with a focus on possible local solutions. The outcomes of these workshops will give local offices tangible actions to take straightaway, as well as forming the basis of a number of sessions at the in-person Conference in November. Find out more and sign up today.

Tell us your stories

We want to celebrate your individual stories, the difference you make for our clients, and to help us remember why we all do what we do. We’re encouraging everyone across our service to submit your story about why you work for Citizens Advice. A shortlisted selection will then have the opportunity to work with a journalist to convert their experiences into something shareable and inspirational at Conference. FInd out more.

Awards workshops

All our shortlisted Award nominees will be invited to take part in an optional workshop, facilitated by creative experts, to bring their nominated project to life. The creative results from these workshops will form an interactive archive of best practice from across the service which will be on display at Conference in November. You can nominate your own or another team’s projects now!

Why take part?

  • Explore big ideas and challenges regardless of whether you’re coming to the in-person conference

  • Help shape discussions and content for November

  • Build connections with others doing similar work

  • Contribute to a more inclusive, diverse conference conversation

Great! How do I sign up?

Registrations for our Challenge Events on 22, 23 and 24 September are open now (these are open to everyone who works or volunteers for Citizens Advice, local or national, and the Witness Service)

Awards nominations are open now (nominations can be from anyone at Citizens Advice or the Witness Service, for projects which are locally-led, locally-influenced or part of the Witness Service)

Story submissions are open now (we really do want to hear YOUR story - this is open to absolutely everyone who works or volunteers for Citizens Advice or the Witness Service)
